Im excited

I cant help myself to get excited because last night we went to our friend who deals with airline tickets and "yes" we got ticket for the Philippines. I just cannot believe that very very soon ill be able to see my family again which I have been longing for. I really miss them so much. I have been waiting this moment to come. I already told my family that we already got a ticket but I still dont tell them the exact date... as a little surprise but I will tell them when are ready to fly of course because we need them to pick us up at the airport since we will get there almost midnight.

Got scammed!

Im really pissed because I got scammed again! First scam was happen in Manila Philippines when I went there for my medical and interview. I know those transactions of my credit card wasn't mine because of the dates that the transactions happened. I went to Manila first time around Oct. 21-25, 2008 and then went back to Cebu to review all my paperworks that I'll take for my interview. Then I went back to Manila around Nov.5-7,2008 for my interview, then headed back to Cebu again and met my husband there since he just got there from the US. So anyway, we didnt know that my credit card got scammed till we got the bill when we are here in the US already. We found out that was 2 transactions happened on the 28th and the 30th I think of October. I was really upset because I know I wasnt there by that time. Plus they scammed us for $500. But anyway, we tried to settle it by calling the company, and tell them the truth. And they asked me alot of proofs, they wanted to know my passport and all that, but it didnt do any good because they still couldnt find any fraud they said. We are really upset and my husband told the guy that we are going to pay it because it wasnt mine and who would want to pay the bills that isnt ours? And we dont use that card anymore but untill now they keep sending the bill and the interest is getting higher and higher.

Just recently, I was tempted to join the Google Home Income Kit or something like that but I told my husband that I better wait for the result of my lovely friend in Texas who was tempted and didnt hesitate to join. Hehe. But my loving "bana" instead told why wait for her its only $1.97 its not a big loose if ever. And yeah I signed up but I was really hesitated and I used his credit card. And that night we called the credit card company to see if how much did they charged. And everything seems alright because they charged only $1.97. But by the next night some woman called me and she said that she will verify my membership so she started asking things but then she wanted to verify the credit card number so I handed the phone to my husband and he told her that no way he will give the number to her. So, it started to get fishy.

By the following days, my friend who signed up sent an email to my husband telling him that it was all scam and the worst part is she got scammed too...LOL. I started blaming my husband but it will not do any good it already happened but anyway there is more that im so pissed about because as I read the link that my friend gave me it says that the website which I signed up with will charge more in the next 7days or something like that which I never on that part on the Kit thing. So we need to call the company again and settle this and see if they will believe us.

Dang scammers anyway! They can make things up that sounds really really good.

Feels Better

Since I got in the US I notice that I am light-headed in each day and I told our physicians about it and she just said that its a part of my adjustments in here. But for the past several days I felt extremely dizzy, I mean the room would spin when I lay on bed and switch sides that usually make me feel comfortable. And when Im up and wants to walk around I had to hold on to something so that I wouldn't fall. It reminds me on the day of my surgery that I felt extreme dizziness before I was out when they injected the drugs to knock people out. It was so bad coz I felt like I wanted to vomit since my stomache would get upset.

My "bana" always reminded me what the ENT doctor (who did my ear surgery) said that whatever makes me dizzy just keep doing it and it will go away. First time I heard that I didn't like it at all because I dont wanna feel always dizzy and why this guy told me to keep doing it..Sounds not right to me. But since he is a doctor, so Im tried to do of what he said but I just get scared sometimes thats why my "bana" would pick me up on the couch and he would move me around or chase me just to make me move fast I guess but he always do that to me because he is a teaser. But anyway, im so happy this morning that finally im not so dizzy anymore and no more menstrual cramps too. I felt them both around the same time its too bad. And went away around the same time/day too. So happy me. Thank God!

One funny screwed up

The other day my husband bought something online in Idaho and needs to be pick up. Knowing that we have to travel for most of the day I decided to charge the battery of my camera so that ill have some extra battery. By the morning, my husband told me to take the the papers on the couch that we need to drop to the broker's office. So I put my camera together with the papers so that I wont forget. Latter on my husband went back in and I ask him where's the camera? And he said the papparazzi got it. So in my mind that he got it since there only me and him in the house. On the road from Idaho and we were headed for the office were we will drop off those papers he asked me if where is the papers? Im like...." what?" are you serious? I thought he was kidding me. Because I figured he got it of what he told me and it was not on the couch last time I look at the couch where it was. So I started reminded him what he told me and what I told him because he really forgot and he was serious either. And went ahead and tried to find the office and try to get another form to fill out. We didnt know the exact address all we know tht it is on the main street and we didnt have any phone number. We were driving around the city and look for the main street and finally we found it and we found the office too but there was still problems. We couldnt park any place because it was just so full. They just park along the roads infront of the buildings. It reminded me downtown cebu it is almost the same. Many people walked by. So after all it wasn't bad that we forgot the stuff's coz there is no way to hand it to them coz no way to park. And wonder what happen to the papers and the camera? We saw it on top of the stove. My dear husband didnt remember that he put it there.

Alaska

I just like recalling my moments in there. It was one of my most unforgettable moment. Alaska is the biggest state in the US and its really a pretty place for summer... Hehehe. I say summer because it will get really really cold in winter time, some parts in Alaska will go -70 degrees, and im so chicken if we talk about cold. Even in summertime over there it is still cold.

Last summer we went to Alaska for a vacation and to meet relatives. Fishing is what we usually do almost everyday. I really enjoyed fishing salmon along the River of Kenai. But the river running made me dizzy. We didn't have to use bait to fish for silver salmon. The salmon was big, it usually weigh 8lbs for the silver and for me it was really big and heavy. On our last day there we tried to fish more and man, I had a King Salmon on! I was yelling my husband to hurry to get the net but guess I dont think that the King would fit to the net for it was so heavy and so big and that thing just took off and brook the line. I was unhappy at all. According to my husband it weighed around 40some lbs, woohw! But It wasn't too bad after all because when we went out for halibut fishing I caught the biggest halibut among our group. It was just very easy to pull eventhough it was so big because I used electric drill.

I really enjoyed my experience there. We stayed there for like 10 days and it was fun fun fun!. I was sad when its time to go home because I would miss my sister in law first of all and I would miss the fishing too and not to mention the pretty and a place that full of serenity.

Me and hubby are looking forward to go back there someday on summer time.

Online friends

Alot of time I would feel so lonely specially if my husband is not around. The loneliness can drive me crazy, but im so thankful that we have an internet connection and a phone because I can just dial or click then feels like my friends are around me.

My online friends is always a big help to me, anytime or anywhere im at they are there to help and advice me. My online friends are very special to me, I really value our friendships even we just talk online. They are my crying shoulders when I feel sad/lonely and they make me smile. They are a big help to make me feel better specially when I miss my family or if I have some problems, I dont hesitate to tell my friends. So eventhough Im too far away from my family and friends I still feel lucky because Im not lost we are just far away from each other. Oh, I love my close friends as much as I do love my family.

Sleepless Nights

So many different reason that most of the nights, I have sleeping trouble specially if I have alot of things to do by the next day. My brain keep thinking about it, it runs like 1000miles per hour. The other reason is by the time that Im getting sleepy my husband snores and I have to wake him up and I do alot of times. And then few hours latter while I am still so sleepy then he will start yowning... I get pist! I start murmuring that before I fall asleep I hear his snore and while Im still sleepy I hear him yown... And guess what he said? " Oh, I didn't hear myself snore so how can I prevent it?". HAHAHAHA...very smart answer. But, I have notice since then that he prevent his yown in bed, he will probably do that while his drinking his coffee. Joke. But I can take nap anytime I want to though, and he will let me stay in bed as long as I want.
But Im jelous when he start snoring because that means that he is sleeping tight, but I think men snore more than women. And that's one thing that we cannot avoid so I guess Ill just have to deal with it. Because I dont wanna sleep on the couch myself..or in the other rooms.. then I would be wide awake all night long.

Talking about cleaning nostrils, I use Neti Pot to irrigate my nose. Just simply boiled some water and let it set for few hours until it is not hot anymore but you dont wanna use cold water either it must boiled to warm, enough that you can use it so that it dont hurt your eyes. H1N1 Prevention

The only portals of entry are the nostrils and mouth/throat. In a global epidemic of this nature, it's almost impossible to avoid coming into contact with H1N1 in spite of all precautions. Contact with H1N1 is not so much of a problem as proliferation is.

While you are still healthy and not showing any symptoms of H1N1 infection, in order to prevent proliferation, aggravation of symptoms and development of secondary infections, some very simple steps, not fully highlighted in most official communications, can be practiced (instead of focusing on how to stock N95 or Tamiflu):

1. Frequent hand-washing (well highlighted in all official communications).

2. "Hands-off-the-face" approach. Resist all temptations to touch any part of face (unless you want to eat, bathe or slap).

3. *Gargle twice a day with warm salt water (use Listerine if you don't trust salt). *H1N1 takes 2-3 days after initial infection in the throat/ nasal cavity to proliferate and show characteristic symptoms. Simple gargling prevents proliferation. In a way, gargling with salt water has the same effect on a healthy individual that Tamiflu has on an infected one. Don't underestimate this simple, inexpensive and powerful preventative method.

4. Similar to 3 above, *clean your nostrils at least once every day with warm salt water. *Not everybody may be good at Jala Neti or Sutra Neti (very good Yoga asanas to clean nasal cavities), but *blowing the nose hard once a day and swabbing both nostrils with cotton buds dipped in warm salt water is very effective in bringing down viral population.*


5. *Boost your natural immunity with foods that are rich in Vitamin C (Amla and other citrus fruits). *If you have to supplement with Vitamin C tablets, make sure that it also has Zinc to boost absorption.

6. *Drink as much of warm liquids (tea, coffee, etc) as you can. *Drinking warm liquids has the same effect as gargling, but in the reverse direction. They wash off proliferating viruses from the throat into the stomach where they cannot survive, proliferate or do any harm.

FAMILY

I am very close to my family back home, specially my mother. She is one of the best mother in the world. She is always there for her children even if they are already grown up. She took care her kids and now her grandkids. How I wish I can give her a hug because I know that she really miss me too, since she always told me. She dont say much how she feels now she keep telling me that she misses me so much.

Well, having internet is a big help for both of me and my family. They will just get online and chat with me whenever they want too, plus we can see each other tru webcam, but its too bad that I couldn't hear their voice, their headphone is not working. But I think this is still alot better than nothing at all.

Im so excited to see them soon, since we are planning to take a vacation for a month that would help some.

Hot Weather

As a filipina, I know that the hot weather feels good to my skin and I know alot of people like hot weather too even white people, for they like sun bathing which is good for our skin.
Of where Im at right now it is very very cold and i dont like it at all. I keep telling my friends that I dont like the cold weather. I cant say that Im just not use to it but I know I dont like cold. It is currently about 60's in Washington State right now, and gets gonna colder and colder as we embrasses the fall/winter which is dont like the most here in Washington. It is too early to get cold and too late to warm up.
I know one place that really feels good to me( hot ) it is Arizona. Even if it is winter season it is like on 60's. I have a friend that lives there in Arizona now. And around this time is like 80's in Arizona... Oh I would love that weather. If I would have a choice where to live Arizona is first place would come to my mine and would be my first priority... ENT's visit

It has been 2months and 7days since I had my ear surgery. And I have been to my ENT doctor 4times since surgery for the following check ups. Just yesterday we went to my doctor for the 4th time and I was somewhat happy of what I have found out. I said somewhat happy because I found out yesterday that my hearing is improving since before surgery. But it is not as good as the right ear. The right ear can hear perfectly. But I still cannot differentiate the difference of my hearing before and now. But I can differentiate when I close my other ear and try to listen from the other ear. Thats how I know that the right ear can hear better than the other one. But, as the result of my audio that my hearing is improving but not perfect yet. And I was kinda sad, because the cyst is already removed and it doesn't go back to normal yet. But anyway, I dont know anyway, whats the perfect hearing feels like in my left ear, since I had the infection as long as I can remember.

I told the doctor about all my concerns, and he said that it is not a big deal as long as there is no more infection , im still in a healing process. He still want to see me by spring. So far he is happy with the result, we just all hope that the desease wouldn't come back anymore.

The doctor told me that he was really surprise that it didn't turn into much complications for the infections was really bad. He think that I was lucky I didnt have serious complications that could be a life threatning. I do believe that God watch over me, mostly on day of my surgery. Of course, I have been praying to Him not only for bad times, but I do talk to Him every morning and night and even if I didn't hear His voice talking to me but I know that He responce my prayers because He has always been good to me. The more faith I have for Him.

Im soo happy that Im cyst free and hopefully will go back to normal life.

Elephant Painting

As I watch on tv the National Geographic Channel I was really amazed by the elephants in Thailand that can paint really really good!!. It was really unbelievable!! They are really well trained. I really enjoyed watching the elephants painting, they seems to be pretty smart elephants.

Garden is Over

Since it starts to cool down the garden is until today only because it will go below freezing tonight. We have been trying to save as much produce as much we possibly can. We have been given it away. But there are still many out there that needs to be picked. There are just too many produced from our garden, we couldn't eat them fast enough. It was fun having garden because I go out there and pick the produce and we eat our own hardwork that produced great. But there were alot of cauliflower that were too old to eat so I cant remember that we ate those.

We still planning to have garden next year but start it earlier so that we can enjoy it longer than this year. Hubby thinking to buy a small green-house start 'em. I think it will be alot better next year because I will pretty much done with other chores that I did year at home so I can spend

more time gardening.

Baby Sitting

Today, I baby sit the son of our friend for 2 hours. This is just temporary though I think since he already have baby sitter but I baby sit him today because the kid of his baby sitter got sick. He was really a good baby... he was really behave.

It was a good experience for me baby setting other people's baby. Well, I used to baby sit my neice and nephews but my sister and whoever in the family was there to assist me. But eventhough Im alone baby sitting the little baby it was fine 'coz he was a good baby. But he just didn't like if I let him lay down, he will try to get up.

dandruff and falling hair

Dandruff has been my problem since I got here in America,,, I have tried few different shampoo but seems like none of them really works that great. Well, there was one that seems to be okay but it didn't make my hair smells good and shiny. So I tried another one, and I really like the smell and it works fine with dandruff my big problem with this shampoo is there alot of falling hairs from me, and im worry to become bald which makes two of us.... lol. Seriously, Im worry that this falling hair will last long because evertime I brush my hair there's so many hairs,, and im thinking to change shampoo again.
My friend over in VA called me just the other day, and asked me if I experience dandruff,, and ask me what is the best shampoo for it, and I really couldn't tell her for Im still trying to figure out whats the best for my hair.
And a friend of mine from Texas told me that the dry weather caused this dandruff but I dont know what caused my hair falling maybe it's the shampoo.... Well, I cant give up on searching the best shampoo for me for I hate dandruff it makes my scalp so itchy, it really bothers me mostly at night, one reason that I couldn't sleep very good.

Crazy computer

Im so pissed with my computer because when I start typing for my post it will just disappear not knowing what happen..... And im already half way with my post. And have to do it all over again. I have been trying 3times and same thing happened.. I wonder what caused these? It cant be the signal, im still on to the other sites...
Well this post is just a trial and see if it will go through...

Pinch Nerve

For about 2 weeks straight my husband is been complaining about his right arm that would go asleep once he lay down to go to sleep. It kept waking him up in the middle of the night, then when he gets up it feels better but when he go back to bed alot of time it will fall asleep again. It really worry's me. One time, I have read it online that it caused by poor blood circulation, some of them said that they couldn't find any matter. And just yesterday my husband ask his friend about his arm and his friend told him that it is a pinch nerve, and that's what also said by the woman who works in health food store. That woman told him that he needs some massage and probably thats what his friend told him too....
Last night I saw him on his massage chair had his back massaged, and this morning he told me that his arm didn't sleep last night it only felt like its going to sleep but it didn't. So im soo glad because im really worry about his arm plus when wakes up in the middle of the night or whenever it awakes me too, so its no fun! Because I have very hard time to fall asleep and he dont. So, everytime that happens I worry and kinda pist at the same time,. How I wish to fall asleep easy so that I dont have to listen to my husband's snore! LOL.....
Anyways, I hope that he will get better or should I say continue feeling better about his arm and I'll also push him to do workout and continue to get on his massage chair have his back massaged.

Depressed

When I got here in the US I started feeling wierd like depress and anxiety, I wasn't like this at all back in the Philippines. I have been telling my husband that I am depressed but he didnt understand why but I couldn't explain to him either because there is just alot of stuff thats going on in my life. For my husband everything is just normal but it is not for me. Everything is new and needs adjustments.
It is so hard being away to my real home and family. Just the other day, I was talking to my girlfriend on the phone who got in VA just last month and her husband said that she is depressed even if she didnt say much about it. And me and my gf are trying to incourage each other to forget depression. Hay! it is so hard to fight on ur own feelings... but I have to fight it for Im too young to be crazy...
