ThanksGiving

If I am only in the US today, I would of celebrate my first year became a US resident. Last year, when I got in the US it was thanksgiving day. And I just remember the moment when I stepped out from the airport of Seattle to our next flight for Pasco, I was just frozen, so shock with the cold. It was last November 27, 2009. I just couldn't believe the coldness of the country. Plus I know I got there the in the wrong season. But God was there for me, Who helped me to be able to adjust the climate. I remember that I always had headache for my sinus attacked. I know by this times in WA is so cold already, it was even so cold when we flew for here in the Philippines. I had sinus attacked at the airport and had severe headache in the airplane, I didn't like to eat. But thanks to my hubby, he brought some Tylenol PM and it really helps my headache right away, and I was able to sleep in the plane too plus the flight was great.

But anyway, today is my second celebration of thanksgiving and my first thanksgiving here in the Philippines. Honestly, I didn't know what thanksgiving was all about. I may seen it on tv but I didn't really care about it. Well, few days ago, my girl friend had a cut out magazine of turkey and all the contacts. I was interested to let my family came over to have some turkey. But we got busy and I forgot to tell my family ahead of time and plus I thought thanksgiving is the 27th of November just like last year. So, yesterday my hubby showed me some newspapers with turkey infos and it says the 26th is the Buffet. So I started to get confuse why they will have the buffet on the 26th if it is for thanksgiving day? And you know yesterday was the 26th. My hubby started to asked me, " what day is today?" so I told him its thursday the 26th of November. And he said that its thanksgiving day then. Am like "what?" its not the 27th yet?. Then he told me that doesnt matter about the date, it is about the last thursday of november. I had no idea about it. I really thought that it is the 27th of November. So I started calling the outfit to order some turkey but it is too late for home delivery. But they have buffet somewhere in Lapu-lapu. And I didnt even think to go to the buffet because the way going to such place is very remote and I couldn't call my sister to borrow her multicab because my bro-in law is using it. But, we ended up joining our friends for thanksgiving and we had a good thanksgiving night.

2012

Back in the US I heard about the movie "2012" and it sound interesting. I was sad though because we were heading for Philippines, and I might mess the movie because it will show sometime in November 2009 in the US but I was wondering if I could see it here in the Philippines. I wanted to see the movie so bad, but we didnt have enough time to watch it in the US.

I have been waiting for this movie, and finally I have read on the news paper that it is showing in the theaters such us theaters in SM Mall. Since hubby was so bored, so he was excited to go to the mall when I told him and pretty sure that he was waiting for the movie too. We planned back in the US to take my parents with us in watching this movie to have more fun, but my father is on the Island since the other day and he will be back in the city by the end of this month. So we just went ahead and watched the movie, for I was worried that it might be over after few days of the show. And if it is still showing, we will take my parents and we have to watch it again or else we will find another suspense movie.

Well, I enjoyed my time in the theater because the movie was good and I had my loved one with me... lol. Anyway, 2012 movie is about the Mayan's prediction that the world will end by the 2012. All disasters will happen like never ever happen before. It was good watching, specially for the religious groups (like myself and family) who believe that everything has appointed time. All we can do is just to pray to our Heavenly Father to protect us. But, I dont believe in Mayan Calendars

Back online

It has been a few days since I was able to get online. Because I have been traveling and setting things up here in the Philippines. Well.. im here now in the Philippines, so happy to see my family here. We got here last monday midnight Nov. 9, '09. This is the moment that I have been waiting for almost a year being away from my family and homeland. Eventhough I do communicate with my family online alot but, I still do wanna see them and touch them and have fun with them and all that. And now, my dream come true again. Well talking about dream, I do really dream back in the US about my family and about Philippines alot. And of course, I got sad when I find out that it was just a dream. But now im currently living with my dreams and im so happy even knowing that it wont last forever, because of course we have to come back in the US. But, looking forward to make both countries (Phils & US) to be our home, meaning will spend part of the year in each country every year, in God's willing. I know it take will some time but atleast its a part of a plan for the future of hubby and I.

Well so far, Im enjoying my stay here so much. I do spend alot of times with my family. I feels like we are so much closer now than before but we were all so close before too. Hubby and I dont think that it is that hot than expected.

I wanted to share some simple photos but my internet connection is so slow,, I am only using prepaid and my mom's place is little bit distance, I couldn't jump in to their computer would of been faster, ill just deal of what I got.

Need to return some Costumes?

Most of us really like to have costumes that fits to the party that we are going to attend that would give us the best look if possible and be comfortable too. But there are so many different parties in each year and of course we have different costumes too. We even want different costumes in one party. Some people just buy costumes because they are so attracted to it but they dont really wear it. And just put inside the closet and let it set there. And we start to wonder if what we can do of all those costumes? Some people just want to get rid of some costumes for some reasons. They probably have too many costumes and they are maybe tired of it, because they want something better next time as we always do. But please don't just throw it in the garbage can. I have to tell you that you can actually return a costume that is still wearable.

I will tell our experience of returning stuff in the Philippines. One time, my husband and I went to the mall in the Philippines and he bought a pair sunglasses and when he tried to wear it, it came apart and so we went back to the mall and return it with the receipt of course but they didn't take it back because there was no way to fix it. I didn't know how did that happen. But it did came apart. I was like in between, I couldn't say a word, I knew how my husband felt and I also understand why they didnt take it back. So, I have learned from that experience in returning stuff. And now I understand that there are some things, that we need to consider in returning the costumes. First we have to make sure that it is still usable, and it should still look good so that the next person who will wear it would still be happy and proud.

Free Online TV Shows

Me and my husband really love to watch tv. We usually watch news, reality shows, and he really love western movies/shows. I have never ever watch online tv shows because I am afraid that I might end up watching illegal shows and have to pay the fine for so much. And guess what? I heard that I can actually watch TV Online without the fear of watching illegal movies because Spreety site is all about the legal places to watch TV online, including news, movies, and much much more. So I check it out right away and yes there are 5000 pages and has so many Genre pages I even found here my hubby's favorite movie ( western movies ). Busy Days

Well,,, this gonna be a big day for me and hubby to prepare for our vacation in the Philippines. My list for things to do is very full,, we dont know where to start. But we have to get everything done. And I am not even done packing for our clothes and we need to buy more stuff to take over there. Hu hu hu whatta busy life. But im so glad that the package for the Philippines is ready to go to so that we can send it before we will go of course. It has been 2months I think preparing for this little package. And this will get there round 2months too, so when we come back here in the US the package will not get there yet. But oh well, as long as it will arrive, then it's fine. The closer of our flight the more I cant wait (excited so much).. lol.

Senior Care

Caring seniors can be so challenging specially when they are on a wheel chair, they in old timers and all that. So many reasons that our seniors needs special care, love and patient specially. And alot of us cannot take care of senior family for many reasons too, the few reasons are: we are so busy working hard so that we can provide our families needs, other reason is we live far away from our senior family. But we know that they really need some special cares, companion, etc.. and what would you do? If I were in your shoes, I would look for an agency that offers senior care. But, we all need to check each back grounds because there are so many seniors that get abused. And of course we dont want that to happen to our loved one.

In looking for a care provider, there are so many things that needs to consider. First, I would definitely look for a care provider/agency with highly skilled nursing facility which is very important of course. And I will also look or consider the agencies that has Senior independent living that offers physical and mental activities because I do believe that it is very important and good exercise for each seniors. But of course I would also consider my senior's family where he/she will feel comfortable for Senior Housing. I know we all want our seniors be happy and safe of where they at. They would feel more of our love and support that way. They will know how important they are to us. And if they are happy we are also happy and thats what its all about.

Halloween

It's first halloween here in the US and see alot of difference compare to home. Where I came from we didn't have pumpkins decor, trick or treat and all that. Probably, some parts in the Philippines they do that but were I came theres nothing like that. We only visit our dead relatives in cemetery and prepare foods such as "biko" or sticky rice which my "bana" really liked it when my mother let him tried it, and much more traditional foods that my mother prepared. But I think trick or treat is pretty fun too specially for the kids when we choose to treat them with candies. I really enjoyed treating those kids and I enjoyed their customs too.
